Music Information

The music is actually a piece called “Emma Noel” and is about my daughter, Emma. We were up in my studio just having fun: Emma was coloring in her unique way while I was playing guitar. I was captivated by her spirit while she was “doing her thing” and it inspired me. The music is just about capturing her “Emma-ness." She is “my golden sunshine”! “Emma Noel” is not really related to the print but I did want to include it here.

Art Information

This was my very first self-produced print. I originally intended for it to be a three color print (since the Texas flag is flying proudly in the background). However, my financial status was in its typical state (read: broke). At this time I was receiving lots of interest in my art, but most folks were looking for a more affordable option, and I desperately needed to accommodate their requests. I bit the bullet and decided that this was the one, though it was going to be a one color print. Austin IS the live music capital, and quite a musical place, so this just makes sense.
