Music Information

The music is an excerpt from a piece that was going to have several uses, but I thought it worked best here. Every time I listen to this music I get a very definite video of the statue going in my head. Perhaps soon I can actually film it.

Art Information

I created this back in the mid 1990s. I have always loved all that this gift from France represents. It is a powerful image and one I am certain I will rework many times in the future. “Song of Freedom (#2)” was included in an art exhibition at Gallery 84 in New York City in December 1996. It is a real highlight for me because Ivan Karp was the juror of that exhibition.
